With the arrival of the first entry for the 2023 edition, the FEI Jumping European Championship, scheduled from August 30 to September 3 at the Snai San Siro racecourse in Milan, gets underway. Nominative entries will expire on July 31 and Belgium has been the first team to announce its presence in Milan.
By regulation, federations may indicate a maximum of ten riders and ten horses in registered entries. The Belgium team leader Peter Weinberg for the continental event in Milan made pre-entries for Niels Bruynseels with Delux van T&L, the twins Nicola and Olivier Philippaerts with Katanga van het Dingeshof and with H&M Miro, Koen Vereecke with Kasanova de la Pomme and Wilm Vermeir with IQ van het Steentje.
The complete field, with the national teams made up of a maximum of five pairs, will be known after the definitive entries which have August 7 as deadline.
