There is a great expectation for the opening ceremony of the Italia. Open to meraviglia – FEI Jumping European Championship Milan 2023, that will take place tomorrow, on Wednesday the 30th at 11.45 a.m.; it will mark the official start of this continental event hosted in the Snai Sam Siro Racecourse magnificent facilities.
The best European jumping combinations will compete until Sunday for a place on the podium in the field that will host the eagerly-awaited parade of the flags, always a very exciting moment for all the athletes who will receive a first greeting from the large crowd expected since the first day of the European Championship.
The riders from 24 nations will be officially welcomed by the institutions and private partners who have believed in the Milan event right from the very beginning.
Attilio Fontana and Giuseppe Sala, the president of the Lombardy Region and the mayor of Milan, will once again be alongside Fabio Schiavolin, CEO of Snaitech and president of the Organising Committee, together with Marco Mezzaroma on his first official occasion as president of Sport e Salute, Paolo Bellino, CEO and general manager of RCS Sports&Events, Sabrina Ibañez, secretary general of the International Equestrian Federation, and Marco Di Paola, president of the Italian Equestrian Sports federation.
After the opening ceremony, the first competition of the Italia. Open to meraviglia – FEI Jumping European Championship Milan 2023 is scheduled to start at 1.15 pm.
