The Olympic qualification for Paris 2024 is an additional highlight of the FEI Jumping European Championship scheduled from August 30 to September 3 at the Snai San Siro racecourse in Milan.
This competition will indeed award three precious and coveted tickets to participate in the next five-ring event.
Already with the pass in the pocket are Sweden, Netherlands, Great Britain, Ireland and Germany (the first five nations of the FEI Jumping World Championship in Herning in August 2022), Belgium (winner of the final of the FEI Jumping Nations Cup 2022 in Barcelona) and France (qualified by right as host nation).
For the teams from the Old Continent, Milan 2023 will therefore be decisive for accessing the ‘starting grid’ of the next Olympic Games, even with the last chance in the 2023 final of the FEI Jumping Nations Cup circuit in Barcelona (September 28-October 1). On that occasion there will be a last ticket reserved for the best-placed nation among the unqualified ones (therefore not necessarily the winner), but this is not said to be European.
